Roberto Aguirre is vice president of business development for Hunt Mexico. Aguirre is based in Mexico City where he is dedicated to developing business opportunities in the oil and gas and electricity sectors in Mexico.
His previous role was vice president of project and structured finance for Hunt Consolidated, Inc. He joined Hunt Oil Company in 2005 to assist with the financing effort for Peru LNG, a $3.8B liquefied natural gas project. Aguirre led the Peru LNG $200MM bond issuance initiative and also raised over $550MM in the Peruvian local capital markets for Hunt's upstream projects. In addition, he supported Hunt's international project financings.
Prior to joining Hunt, Aguirre worked with Scotiabank in international corporate, commercial and real estate banking and also worked for the National Bank of Canada in treasury risk management. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Concordia University and an MBA from McGill University. Aguirre has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth.
